Lewandowski’s Bayern Munich Career

Lewandowski said in November 2013 that he would sign a pre-contractual agreement for Bayern Munich, the rival team of Borussia Dortmund.

2013–2017: Assuming the captaincy

In his debut game as captain on March 26, 2013, during the 2014 World Cup qualification campaign, Lewandowski scored two penalties in the team’s 5–0 victory over San Marino.

He equalized against Montenegro in a 1-1 home draw later in the campaign on September 6. Poland was not granted entry into the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
