About Lautech

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) was founded in 1990 and is one of the most esteemed universities in Nigeria.

The Main Campus

The School’s main campus is at Ogbomoso North Local Government, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. This is where most of the university’s teaching and research takes place.

The Ogbomoso Campus also houses the central administration of the university. The Ogbomoso Campus has five faculties and a Post-graduate school where courses are taught in various fields of pure and applied science, medicine, agriculture, engineering and technology, and environmental science.

College of Health Sciences

The College of Health Sciences campus once located in Osogbo, Osun state, Nigeria, has been relocated to along Old Ogbomoso-Ilorin Road, Ogbomoso, Oyo state. There are four faculties in the College of Health Sciences which comprises of four courses which are basic medical sciences, basic clinical sciences, clinical sciences, and nursing sciences.

Iseyin Campus

The Iseyin Campus is located in Iseyin, Oyo state, Nigeria. The campus is headed by a Provost and houses the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources, Iseyin Campus which is made up of Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources and Faculty of Agricultural Science.

Lautech Courses and Requirements

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) is a university owned and run by the state government.

The National Universities Commission (NUC), has formally recognized and/or accredited Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.

Requirements for Direct Entry

#2. Agricultural Economics

Requirements for Direct Entry

(i) GCE’A’ Level / JUPEB /ND with Upper credit/HND in related discipline or

(ii) HND in relevant discipline plus UTME requirements may be considered.

Requirements for UTME/JAMB Candidates

Five(5) ’O’ level passes at credit level WAEC/NECO/NABTEB/GCE in English Language, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Agricultural Science or Biology. However, Economics or Geography may be accepted instead of Physics provided such candidates score at least a Pass in Physics.

#3. Agricultural Extension & Rural Development

Requirements for Direct Entry

#17. Cyber Security

Requirements for Direct Entry

(i)Five credit passes at not more than TWO sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any two of Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Economics or Geography at SSCE.

(ii) Two A Level subjects including Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum of credit passes.

(iii) At least an Upper Credit Pass in ND in Computer Science from a recognized Polytechnic or its equivalent; and

(iv) NCE with at least credit pass both in Computer Science/Mathematics; Computer Science/Physics or Mathematics/Physics.

Requirements for Direct Entry

(i) ‘A’ Level passes in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

#19. Economics

Requirements for Direct Entry

Direct Entry candidates are required to possess:(i) Good passes at SSCE/GCE (or equivalent) in 5 subjects with not less than two having been passed at the advanced Level, or in 5 subjects of which not less than three having been passed at the Advanced Level provided:

(a) No subject is counted at both Ordinary and Advanced Levels.

#30. Nutrition & Dietetics

Requirements for Direct Entry

(i) GCE’A’ level / JUPEB passes in any of Chemistry and any other two

(2) from the following: Biology, Botany, Agricultural Science and Physics.

(ii) NCE graduate with a minimum of C pass in Food and Nutrition.

(iii) Candidate with Upper credit in OND or HND with lower credit in Agricultural/ Food Science or Nigeria Registered Nurse plus UME requirements.

(i)Two 2 ’A’ Level Passes in Biology and Chemistry, or Physics (Plus UME requirements).

(iii) JUPEB with three (3) subjects with a minimum of 6 points to include at least credit in Biology.

(iii) OND in Mathematics with a minimum grade at Upper credit.

(iv) HND in Mathematics with a minimum grade at Lower credit plus UME requirements may be considered.

Lautech Courses and School Fees

The current school fees of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso ranges from ₦140,000 to ₦170,000 for new students and ₦40,250 for old students.

Please take note, that the fee amounts for LAUTECH Part-time, Postgraduates, Direct Entry and Freshers are different. As soon as you visit lautech.edu.ng, you will find the breakdown of the fees on the portal and specifically for your course.
