Admission Requirements for AAMUSTED
It is important to familiarize yourself with the AAMUSTED courses and cut-off points, as well as the admission requirements for undergraduate programs.
- WASSCE certificate holders must have at least six (6) credit passes (A1-C6), including three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies, as well as three (3) relevant elective subjects with a total aggregate of 36 or better.
- SSSCE certificate holders must possess six (6) credit passes or better (A-D) in three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies, as well as three (3) relevant elective subjects with a total aggregate of 36 or better.
- School Certificate/GCE Holders must have Five (5) credits at GCE “O” Level, including English Language and Mathematics and two (2) “A” Level passes other than General Paper in relevant subjects. They must also satisfy the Special Programme requirement(s) for programme(s) chosen.
Postgraduate Admission Requirements
If you’re applying to M.Phil/M.SC/M.ED/M.A/MBA Programmes, you must have:
- A good first degree (2nd Class Lower or better in the relevant discipline from a recognized University.
- A Pass in a selection interview and entrance examination to be organized by the Department.
For any of the PhD programs, here are things you must possess:
- A researched Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in the relevant field of study.
- A cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 or above in the courses offered at the Master’s degree level.
- At least grade ‘B’ in the dissertation presented for the Master’s degree.
Post-diploma applicants should possess:
A Higher National Diploma or its equivalence in a relevant field of study from a recognized institution. (Successful Post-Diploma applicants may be placed at Level 200 or 300 of the four-year degree program, depending on their academic qualifications).

AAMUSTED’s School Fees

AAMUSTED Cut off Points
To gain admission into Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), WASSCE candidates need a total score of 36 or better. In contrast, SSCE candidates must achieve an aggregate of 24 or higher. You won’t be eligible for admission if you score below these cut-off points.
Also, it would be best if you had at least six (6) credit passes in the WASSCE exams. This includes three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science or Social Studies, along with three (3) Elective Subjects relevant to their chosen course.
