Kiriri Women’s University Entry Requirements for Degree and Diploma Courses

The student’s secondary school record and national examination results will be among the essential admission credentials required for Undergraduate studies. The basic guidelines for minimal entry qualifications can be found below.

Basic Requirements for Masters Admission

A candidate must satisfy one of the following minimum requirements:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least Upper Second Class honors in any discipline or its equivalent from a University Senate-accredited institution.

Or

Be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree with Second Class lower honors in any discipline, as long as the candidate can demonstrate proven research skills or three (3) years of related experience.

Or

Possess a Bachelor’s degree at pass level in any discipline from a recognized university, with five (5) years of post-qualification. If under five (5) years, the holder must have a Post Graduate Diploma with Credit in a relevant field from the Kenya National Examinations Council or another institution approved by the University Senate.

Or

Candidates with a Higher National Diploma with Credit and two (2) years of experience in a related field may be admitted to the Master’s degree program if they pass the required units.

Or

Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a scale of 4.00, or a degree with First Class or Upper Second Class Honours. Applicants with a GPA of 2.5 or Lower Second Class Honours and a Higher Diploma with relevant experience may be considered, provided their degree or diploma is relevant to the topic of study.

Basic Requirements for Degree Admission

  2. Diploma level certificate from a recognized Institution
  3. IGCSE 5 Upper Level passes
  4. GCE 5 ‘O’ level passes with C and above or principal C at A level
  5. 12th Grade GPA of 2.5

Kiriri Women’s University Degree Application Form

The application forms for the degree programs are available at the admissions office. If you are a local applicant, you will need to pay a non-refundable fee of Kshs 1000, while foreign applicants can obtain the forms for a fee of $55.

Kiriri Women’s University Scholarships

At the beginning of each semester, Kiriri Women’s University grants scholarships to students. Several kinds of scholarships are available for women, such as Girls Scout Gold scholarships.
