Bells University Undergraduate Admission Requirements 

Candidates who wish to apply for admission must fulfil the following requirements:

  • The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or the UTME Direct Entry Form must have been secured by the candidates.
  • It is necessary to have at least five (5) O’ Level Credit passes in the SSCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents.
  • These must include mathematics and English language skills and other courses pertinent to the selected course.
  • Candidates awaiting results may still apply if their results are ready by September or October of the application year.

Master’s Degree Programmes

  • To be admitted into the University’s first degree programs, candidates must meet the O’level criteria.
  • Additionally, candidates may be admitted to the University’s master’s program if they have a first degree from Bells University of Technology, Ota, or any other university recognized by the Senate, with at least Second-Class Honors (Lower Division).
  • Candidates with an HND or Third-Class degree with a university PGD in a relevant discipline and at least a 60% G.A. may also be considered for certain programs.
  • Furthermore, individuals who possess a Hands-on Diploma in a relevant field and hold professional certifications such as ACA, ACIS, ACCA, NIM, etc., may also be considered for the Executive MBA program.

M.Phil/Ph.D Programmes

In addition to post-graduate programs, candidates can also apply to Ph.D programs. 

Requirements

  • On the advice of the Departmental and College Postgraduate Committees, candidates holding a Master’s degree from the Bells University of Technology, Ota, or another accredited university may be admitted to the M.Phil/Ph.D program.
  • A Ph.D. or M.Phil. assessment is conducted in the first full-time enrollment session. The Ph.D. program is only open to candidates with a weighted average of less than 60%, and they must pass the PH.D. qualifying test to proceed with the complete program.
  • The Department may set a minimum weighted average score for candidates with permission from the College Postgraduate Committee and the Postgraduate School Board. The College Postgraduate Committee must also approve courses.
