I’ve been there as well. Saving money for your education to avoid student loans, caring for family, finding housing, changing your wardrobe, starting a business, or footing the bill for car repairs can all be overwhelming.

Yes, we’ve all hit a brick wall at some point in our lives. All we could think of was a way to juggle things to make ends meet.

This is where the idea of making money enters our minds. You’ll agree with me that there are a million lists on how to get money now–but the vast majority of them aren’t fast enough.

And you and I both know that the phrase “I need money” means “I need it now.” So, when you consider some constraints, such as the amount of effort put into the job,

And you and I both know that the phrase “I need money” means “I need it now.” So, when you consider some constraints, such as the amount of effort put into the job, opting for an easy way is an ideal option. Thankfully, there are numerous legit steps to follow if you want fast money.

In this article, I’ve listed 18 ways that will help you out when you need cash now–as in, within 24–48 hours, and others which may take 1-2 weeks to get paid.

1. Reduce Your Student Loan Payments

Did you know that 44.7 million Americans owe money on student loans? Have you considered refinancing your student loans?

Refinancing means that a lender pays off your existing loans and creates a new, single loan that will be paid back at a lower interest rate (ideally).

This is advantageous for those who have student loans because it consolidates monthly loan payments and saves you money!

Many refinancing companies will pay you to refinance with them in addition to saving you money and lowering your monthly loan payments!

2. Get Paid to Go Grocery Shopping

Isn’t it true that everyone buys the food? So there you have it, yet another way to make money. You can use rebate apps to do your grocery shopping.

By taking a picture of your receipt with your phone, apps like Ibotta can offer cash rebates on your food purchases.

You do your regular grocery shopping at the same stores, and you can get rebates on basic items like meat, bread, and eggs.

Again, this is not a source of income, but it does provide cashback on normal purchases, which is essentially the same thing.

3. Vindale Investigations

Vindale Research is one of the oldest survey companies, which means they know what they’re doing.

You’ll earn anywhere from $1 to $5 for each survey, which isn’t bad for the time you’ll put in. The more detailed a survey, the more money you’ll make.

You can also complete product evaluations, which are more time-consuming but can earn you more money.

They will provide you with a product or service in exchange for an honest review. This can pay anywhere between $5 and $75.

4. Make a deal on a bill.

Call a few of your service providers before your bills are due to see if you can negotiate a better deal.

If you could reduce your cable bill from $110 to $70, for example, you would save $40 and keep it in your pocket each month.

By doing so, we were able to save nearly $70 off our satellite bill. All we had to do was call and casually mention that we were switching to one of their competitors, and by the end of the call, we had saved a significant amount of money and had all of our hardware upgraded.

5. Determine who owes you money.

You’ve probably loaned money to people in the past, but did they ever repay you? This is a great way to get money quickly if someone owes you $20, $50, or $100 and you can collect.

Consider people and situations where you may have previously loaned money before going door-to-door.

Perhaps you paid for someone’s dinner because your waitress refused to split the bill. You can always ask for it back politely.

6. Consider obtaining a personal loan.

Thanks to technological advancements, the days of researching, calling, and comparing personal loan quotes are over.

So, if you need money and want to avoid the hassle, I recommend using a personal loan aggregator, which will do all the legwork for you and make getting a personal loan simple.

But which aggregator should you used to find and compare personal loans and other financial product quotes?

7. Craigslist is a great place to sell your items.

We’ve all used items that we no longer want. Why not put it up for sale? You can get rid of items like furniture, CDs, electronics, and even clothing by posting a few simple (and free) ads on Craigslist.

If you are a member of any Facebook resale groups, you can also list your items for sale there.

Simply price your items so that they sell quickly. With the right item, the right price, and a bit of luck, you could have cash in your hands in no time.

8. Request a check advance from your boss.

I would never, ever recommend that someone take out a payday loan. However, it can’t hurt to ask your boss for a pay advance.

If you truly need the money, explain your situation to your boss and see if they will assist.

In the worst-case scenario, they will say no and send you on your way. At best, they will agree to deduct a few hundred dollars from your next paycheck.

9. Get a serving job.

This one could take up to a week, but it can put money in your pocket quickly. If you need money now and can’t wait too long, a part-time job as a server or bartender might be ideal.

Once you’ve completed your training, you should begin earning tips right away. This may not be the best way to make money quickly, but it may suffice to pay the bills. Plus, you don’t have to stay there forever, do you?

10. Make use of TaskRabbit.

The internet’s wonders have resulted in a plethora of ways for people to make money quickly. TaskRabbit is one such website that can assist in this regard. Signing up allows you to run errands for others while earning money.

Picking up laundry from the cleaners, making a grocery run, picking up prescriptions, and walking dogs are all common tasks.

If you don’t mind doing random tasks in exchange for quick cash, this is an excellent option.

11. Rent Out Your Car

Let’s be honest. Your car, no matter how much you love it (or despise it), is usually a huge liability. Fuel costs, depreciation, insurance, and repairs all add up to be a significant financial burden. What if you could convert that liability into an asset?

GetAround promises to do just that. With this app, you can allow people to rent your car online for a predetermined fee (that varies with the make, model, and year of your vehicle).

So, rather than collecting dust while you’re not using it, your car can generate passive income to help offset some of the expenses we mentioned earlier. What isn’t to love?

Depending on how frequently you rent out your car, you can quickly earn up to $500.

12. You Should Sell Your Clothes

You almost certainly have a few unwanted clothing items in your closet. If you need money right away, you might be able to sell those clothes and make some quick money.

Fortunately, there are several options for selling your old clothes. You could hold a garage sale if you have a LOT of clothes, but most people don’t have enough clothes to do so.

13. Work as a Waiter or Waitress

One of the best things about working as a waiter or waitress is that you can usually get hired quickly and start working right away.

And, while you won’t be paid for a few weeks, if you do your job well, you’ll start earning tips right away. Check with local chain restaurants for quick work as a waiter or waitress.

14. Take on the job of mowing lawns.

Lawn care is one of those chores that many people would gladly pay to have done for them. If you need money quickly, you can provide a variety of lawn care services.

You could mow lawns, rake leaves, shovel snow in the winter, or do basic landscaping and trimming.

Other suggestions include weeding gardens and preparing vegetable or flower gardens for winter.

Prices are typically negotiated per job and paid for as soon as the work is completed. If you play your cards right, you might be hired as a regular by some clients and make quick money every week.

15. Make a living as a street performer.

If you can sing, do physical stunts, play the guitar or piano, or do standup comedy, you could probably do it for money on the side of the road, right? At the very least, you could try it out!

Whatever your “skill,” you could probably earn at least some money if you performed in a high-traffic area.

Set out a bucket or a hat to let people know you’re accepting donations and let the good times roll.

16. Fiverr is a great place to find gigs.

Fiverr is similar to Upwork in that you are paid to complete a short-term job or task. The distinction is that many of the jobs on Fiverr are quick and pay only $5.

For example, someone may request that you write a poem for a loved one or draw a quick sketch of their pet.

Simply browse the jobs on Fiverr and apply for the ones you can complete quickly, or create a profile and offer your services there.

17. Consider drop-shipping.

Have you ever heard of the term “drop-shipping”? It is a retail method in which the seller does not have a physical inventory.

Instead, when a customer places an order, you buy the item from a third party, who then ships it to the customer.

“This means you’ll never have to pay a dime to store your products or keep your inventory,” says International Living.

“And you’ll never have to buy products in bulk in the hope of recouping your investment.

18. Work as a freelancer

Are you good at writing online articles, creating resumes, website designing, digital assistant tasks, or graphic design?

If this is the case, you could make some quick money by finding a few freelancing gigs on sites like Upwork.

Households and corporations use Upwork to find freelancers when they need work done but do not have enough work to hire an official employee.

Freelancing jobs on Upwork are frequently completed in a day or two, and you can often work any hours of the day that suit your schedule.

Pay rates vary according to the type of work you’re asked to do. You can enter your verification account information, whenever a company pays you, it deposited directly in the money into your bank account.
