University of Cyprus Scholarships for PhD Students, 2017
One of the objectives of the Graduate School is to ensure the quality of assurance and measures for the evaluation of the postgraduate programmes and of the degrees awarded by the University of Cyprus.
The University of Cyprus is a public university established by the Republic of Cyprus in 1989. It admitted its first students in 1992 and has approximately 7000 students.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the subjects offered by the subjects.
Scholarship Award: The scholarships cover the tuition fees of two academic semesters as well as a scholarship allowance equal to 8.000Euro which is payable in two equal instalments of 4.000Euro at the beginning of the two academic semesters after verifying tha the doctoral student has enrolled in his/her courses.
Number of Scholarships: There are 33 scholarships available.
Scholarship can be taken in Cyprus
Eligibility: Applicants must have a University degree awarded by an accredited institution in the country where it operates, or a degree evaluated as equivalent to a University degree by the Cyprus Council for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (KY.S.A.T.S). Individuals who will be awarded a University degree or Graduation certificate fulfilling the necessary criteria by the end of the week that precedes registration week, are also eligible to submit an application.
Nationality: Citizens from Cyprus are eligible to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have master’s degree.
How to Apply: Each applicant must submit electronically his/her application by uploading the application form, the CV, the degrees, other certificates. Before submitting an application please consult the Framework for Scholarships addressed to the PhD students of the University of Cyprus and be sure to include the following:
- Application form
- Curriculum Vitae (in Europass format)
- Description of the proposed research (max 2 pages)
- All necessary documents and additional information (eg, copies of degrees, diplomas transcripts, etc.)
- The names of at least two evaluators that will provide reference letters (one letter of recommendation should be from the Research Supervisor of the candidate).
