“Understanding Milling Efficiency in Oats”,PhD Fellowship Opportunity 2017

Teagasc in Ireland and the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (IBERS), Aberystwyth University are jointly pleased to announce the availability of 3-year PhD scholarship. Applicants will work on the project titled “Understanding Milling Efficiency In Oats” under the supervision of Catherine Howarth or Ethel White.Teagasc is committed to a co-ordinated professional development strategy for postgraduate students.Applicants whose first language is not English is to provide an evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the university. This scholarships is open to UK and EU students and eligibility criteria is also noteworthy.About:

Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities.

Course Level: Fellowship is available for pursuing PhD progarmme.

Study Subject: Fellowship is awarded to work on the project titled “Understanding Milling Efficiency In Oats”.

Scholarship Award: The 3-year PhD scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees at the UK/EU rate and an annual maintenance grant equivalent to the RCUK rate (£14,553 for 2017/18)

Scholarship can be taken in Ireland and the UK

Eligibility: Applicants should hold, or expect to obtain, a minimum of a first or upper-second class honours (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.

Nationality: UK/EU students are eligible to apply.

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have master’s degree.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
