Best university in South Africa to study technology and engineering
The latest QS World University Rankings reveal that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is the best university in the world to study engineering and technology.
In Africa, Cairo University came out tops for tech and engineering, followed by the University of Cape Town. The institutions ranked in position 224 and 320 respectively.
MIT also took first spot in the overall world rankings, beating Harvard University and the University of Cambridge.
South Africa’s Stellenbosch University ranked 302 overall, while the University of Cape Town ranked 171 overall.
The QS rankings rate 891 universities according to six performance indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, staff-student ratio, research citations per paper, international faculty ratio, and international student ratio.
