Brief Description

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) Foundation is proud to announce the four Spence Reese Scholarships in the Medicine, Engineering, Law, Political Science fields of study.

The program is available only to male high school seniors who are pursuing or plan to study in four years degree/course at accredited college or university.

The Foundation’s goal is to provide financial support that will ensure the continuation of the Club’s programs and services for youth.

The BGCGSD Foundation will provide scholarship award amount range from $2,000-$6,000 per year for four years study.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego (BGCGSD) Foundation was created in 1984 for the purpose of seeking gifts of substantial cash, securities, and property to be utilized for the support of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The mission of the BGCGSD is to inspire and enable youth to develop into productive, healthy, caring and responsible citizens.

Field of Study

Only those in the following fields of study can be beneficiaries of this scholarship;

  • Medicine
  • Engineering
  • Law
  • Political Science

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be male
  • Applicants must be high school seniors
  • Applicants must have intended course of study in Medicine, Engineering, Political Science or Law
