Applications are available at the University of the Philippines for the Nicolas Zafra Memorial Scholarship for Filipino Students 2017. The scholarship is exclusively open for Filipino applicants in the field of History.

The aim of the scholarship is to encourage and enhance the study of History.

The University of the Philippines is a public university system in the Philippines. The University of the Philippines has 8 constituent universities (CUs), and 4 basic education schools located in 15 campuses across the country.

Course Level: The scholarship is available to pursue degree programme.

Study Subject: The scholarship is awarded in the field of History.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship will cover the following:

  • The grant consists of P1, 000.00 stipends per semester.

Numbers of Scholarships: One scholarship is available.

Scholarship can be taken in the Philippines

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • The grant is available to all bona fide History students who have the following qualifications: a). must have a general weighted average of at least “1.75” in all History subjects and a general weighted average in all subjects of “2.25”. Any grade of 4.00 or “inc.” must be removed before the immediately following registration period. b). must not have been the subject of disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension. c). must not be enjoying any other grant or financial assistance.

Nationality: Filipino applicants are eligible for the scholarship.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have a general weighted average in all subjects of 2.25.
