Jim Dodson Law is very pleased to welcome applications for a special scholarship open to traumatic brain injury victims (TBIs) and Their Caregivers. Eligible candidates should be U.S citizens currently pursuing undergraduate degree with minimum 2.75 of GPA. The winner will be granted $1,500. The closing date of application is December 15, 2017.
Scholarship Description
Over 1.3 million Americans fall victim to traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) every year. For many brain injury victims, once effortless day-to-day tasks are now a challenge. As a result, some TBI sufferers have had to become more reliant on family members for everyday life. While striving to overcome these challenges, many brain injury victims and their families also dream of pursuing or to continue pursuing a college education, but the significant financial burden of injury-related medical bills can make this lifelong goal seem impossible. Florida accident attorney, Jim Dodson wants to help make this dream more possible.

Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, candidates must satisfy the given criteria as follow:
- Have a 2.75 GPA
- Currently enrolled in a four year college either part time or full time.
- While academic success need not be a determining factor, each applicant must demonstrate a capacity for success in their chosen field.
Application Instruction
To apply, please complete the application attached at the top of the page along with writing a 500 word essay on this topic: Tell us how having a brain injury has changed your life. If you are a caregiver or a family member of someone who has a brain injury, please write your essay on how it has impacted you and/or your family’s life. Your essay should not exceed 500 words and should briefly relate your personal experience with a TBI or the TBI of a loved one.
