About GETFUND?
In truth, one of the Ghanaian government’s initiatives to support education is the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund). This is a public trust established by a law of Parliament to provide additional funding to the Scholarship Secretariat for the awarding of scholarships to gifted but needy students for second-cycle studies and accredited tertiary institutions in Ghana.
Basically, the Government sees the release of GETFund and the Ghana stock exchange secretariat stands to receive it. Furthermore, they later oversee redistribution to help students who need it the most.
GETFUND scholarships for Ghanian students 2020 not only support students in high school and university by paying their tuition fees but also by supplementing the education sector with educational resources.

This scholarship application is the worst ever you could imagine. The level of incompetency attributed to this application process is unimaginable. There is no proper channel of communication between applicants and the scholarship office. This is my second time applying and not once have i received an email stating my application is under review, whether i was denied or accepted. In the end it all comes down to what the majority of Ghanaian know what this truly is- which is an avenue for corruption and nepotism. The only people favored are the ones with ‘connections’ or ‘links’. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to apply for this scholarship if you’re genuinely hoping to get a chance at attending school overseas. I would rather recommend you try other scholarship platforms internationally or your school of admission because GetFund doesn’t care about you.
