Copenhagen Business School  is offering some PhD scholarships (3-5) at the Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics (INO).

The main objective of the university is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.

Copenhagen Business School often abbreviated and referred to as CBS, is a public university situated in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD programme.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded at the Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics (INO).

Scholarship Award: The three-year scholarships are fully salaried positions, according to the national Danish collective agreement. The scholarship includes the tuition fees, office space, travel grants plus a salary, currently starting with per month app. DKK 28,837.00 (app. 3,865.00 euro) up to DKK 34,865.00 (app. 4,670.00 euro), depending on seniority, plus a pension contribution totalling 17.1% of 85 per cent of the base salary. Applicants accepted for the four-year program will receive a lower salary for the first two years. The salary level and appointment is determined by the Ministry of Finance’s collective agreement with the Central Academic Organisation.

Number of Scholarships: There are number of vacant PhD scholarships (3-5) available.

Eligibility:

  • The Department will give priority to applicants with the following qualifications: high grades from their universities, an educational background in the social sciences, and finally, the applicants must be fluent in English.
  • To be considered for the three-year program, the candidate should have a basic training at the Masters level (similar to the 3 + 2 Bologna process and a total of 180+120 ECTS). However, applicants who hold a one year Master’s degree may also be considered for evaluation. PhD students who enter the PhD program with a one year Master’s degree (60 ECTS) may be offered a four-year program.

Nationality: Citizens of all nationalities are eligible to apply.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: To be considered, the candidate should have a basic training at the Masters level (similar to the 3 + 2 Bologna process). An educational background in the social sciences is necessary.

English Language Requirement: In order to be eligible applicants must be fluent in English.

How to Apply: Copenhagen Business School must receive all application material, including all appendices by the application deadline. Application must be sent via the electronic recruitment system. The application must include a five-page project description. This research proposal should contain a presentation of an original research question, a description of the initial theoretical framework and methodology, a presentation of the suggested empirical material as well as a work-plan. In addition to the research proposal, the application must include;

  • Relevant diplomas or documentation of enrolment as a master student,
  • Brief curriculum vitae (CV),
  • A list of papers and publications, and if relevant one copy of a selected written work (e.g. Master’s thesis),
  • Documentation of English language skills if English is not the first language.
