Catholic Foundation Artists Contest 2019-2020

The Catholic Foundation is pleased to announce its 12th artist competition, the Catholic Foundation Artists Contest 2019-2020. This catholic church art contest invites the artist to submit an original piece of art. Professional artists over 18 living in Texas can take advantage of this incredible opportunity.

The Art Wall is to present an artistic work by an artist from Texas. The Best Actor receives a grant of $ 2,500 and an honorable $ 250 bonus.

The Catholic Foundation supports donations and charities to serve donors and the needs of our community. The Catholic Foundation Plaza is a unique 300 square meter public space located in the sanctuary of the Cathedral of the Virgin of Guadalupe at 2215 Ross Avenue, Dallas, Texas.

About the Sponsor: Catholic Foundation Plaza

The Catholic Foundation Plaza is a unique 3,900-square-foot public space located at the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe on the corner of Flora and Crockett Streets, directly across from the Meyerson Symphony Hall.

The Catholic Foundation Plaza is in a highly visible location to visitors to the Dallas Arts District and is also one of the sites on the “Public Art Walk Dallas.” Dedicated in 2006, the Plaza was a gift from The  to the Dallas community to commemorate the Foundation’s 50th anniversary.

The wall currently displays last year’s winning piece, “Tree of Life” by Adriana Rivera. Smaller replicas of all past winning artwork are mounted on the wall as well.
