Barnes W. Rose, Jr. and Eva Rose Nickol Scholarship Fund was created in 2003 in memory of Mr. Rose and in honor of Eva.

Barnes was a 1951 graduate of Albuquerque High School and also a 1957 graduate of West Point. Eva is a longtime New Mexico resident.

The scholarship fund will award a scholarship to an Albuquerque High School graduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in one of these majors: Medicine or health-related Science, Technology, Mathematics (STEM).

A concentration will be given to those pursuing engineering-related careers.

This scholarship opportunity was established in 1993 by Albuquerque businessman C.E. Woodcock and his spouse, Dixie, to and help students of exceptional abilities in the fields of science and math.

These Scholarships will be awarded to metro area high school graduating seniors (includes Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia and Torrance Counties). These Scholarships are payable over four years.

ADDITIONAL CRITERIA:

  • must have a strong math and/or science credentials

4AFDO SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

In 1981, AFDO established a scholarship fund dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Law on the Protection of Food and Drugs.

George M. Bourditet scholarships, Betsy Woodward scholarships, and Dennis S. Rooney scholarships are awarded annually to eligible high school graduating students.

The beneficiary must demonstrate his intention to participate in research, control, quality or training in areas related to certain aspects of food, medicine or consumer safety.

5ALASKA SPACE GRANT PROGRAM UNDERGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP

AMOUNT: $5,000

Scholarships of up to $ 5,000 are offered as part of the selection process. The scholarships support research projects that promote NASA’s vision by advancing STEM career goals, empowering STEM personnel, including the United States, at the NASA mission for new and sustainable students.

Students who have received awards in previous competitions can register for the next competition and still receive prize money.

Eligibility: – Applicants must be in one of the following areas:

Pennsylvania: Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Washington, or Westmoreland The candidate must be in Pennsylvania for at least 12 months before entering as a medical student.

He/she must be registered at a medical school in Pennsylvania. Candidates must register for the third or fourth year of medical school.

Alumni or Alumnus Association Scholarship Fund of the initially known Albert Einstein Medical Center Nursing School of Philadelphia is always available to provide scholarships to students demonstrating financial need in the case of a nursing degree.

  • The students should, and must attend an accredited baccalaureate, associate degree, RN-to-BSN-completion nursing program, advanced nursing degree program, or (re)-certification program in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

9AMBUCS SCHOLARS- SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THERAPISTS

The US Nursing Scholarship Program was launched in 1927 by the NSCDA to help American students build a nursing career.

The National Society of the Colonial Lady of America provided a small number of scholarships to help American students study in the fields of health and healthcare.

Student Nurse Jane Delano was created to promote careers and the participation of new nurses of the Red Cross. This scholarship is available to volunteers or nurses (students or graduates) of the American Red Cross.

The Annie S. Alexander Memorial Fellowship offers a non-renewable award to students who want to earn a bachelor’s degree in tertiary education from an accredited graduate school.

14AOTF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Scholarship award is the oldest of the Foundation’s programs backdate to the establishment of AOTF in 1965.

In early 1980s AOTF expanded the program to include partnerships between individual (groups) state associations and AOTF to grant scholarships on their behalf.

The founders, providers specified that AOTF scholarships be offered only to students enrolled in accredited academic Occupational Therapy programs and established the timetable on which the scholarship program operates. AOTF takes applications once a year.

The Summer Science Scholarship Program APS supports 24 summer scholarships. This scholarship is designed to help students who work on a regular basis to work in established institutions.

The Brothers’ Church offers various scholarships to those who participate in the Nursing program each year.
