South Africa is a tourist destination and the industry accounts for a substantial amount of the country’s revenue. The official national marketing agency of the South African government, with the goal of promoting tourism in South Africa both locally and globally, is known as South African Tourism.
South Africa offers both domestic and international tourists a wide variety of options, among others the picturesque natural landscape and game reserves, diverse cultural heritage and highly regarded wines.

Some of the most popular destinations include several national parks, such as the expansive Kruger National Park in the north of the country, the coastlines and beaches of the KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape provinces, and the major cities like Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban.

South African Tourism is constantly seeking the very best talent to add to its team. The positions available in South Africa, and in the country (in our core markets around the world).

An exciting opportunity exists for an Internship Programme at South African Tourism’s Head office in Sandton. The Internship Programme will run for a fixed period of twelve (12) months and the programme is designed to offer Graduates work related experience in a number of business areas.

The South African Tourism Internship is available for undergraduate and graduate students who wish to have an internship working experience with the South African Tourism office.

  • Applicants must attach a recent copy of their CV, certified copies of Matric certificate, academic qualifications with academic transcripts (academic record) and ID.
  • Applicants must quote a Reference Number for the applied field of exposure.
