2017 IBRO/IBE-UNESCO Science of Learning Fellowships for International Researchers in Switzerland
Applications are invited for IBRO/IBE-UNESCO Science of Learning Fellowships for researchers of all nationalities. These fellowships are offered by the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) which has continued its partnership with the International Bureau of Education (IBE) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
This is part of the IBRO Science of Learning Initiative that aims to support and translate key neuroscience research on learning and the brain to educators, policymakers and governments.
IBRO is the global federation of neuroscience organisations that aims to promote and support neuroscience training, teaching, collaborative research and advocacy around the world.
Course Level: Fellowships are available for Senior Scientists and Mid-Career Scientists.
Study Subject: Fellowships are awarded in the field of neuroscience, preferably in the science of learning.
Scholarship Award: Fellowships of 20,000 Euros per fellow will be awarded. IBRO and IBE–UNESCO cannot arrange accommodation, visas, insurance, travel or other related logistics. This will be the responsibility of the fellow to organize. Each fellow will be provided with his/her own office, including a computer, desk and internet access.
Number of Scholarships: Three fellowships will be awarded.
Scholarship can be taken in IBE–UNESCO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland
Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:
- Applications will be considered from Senior Scientists and Mid-Career Scientists with at least 10 years of experience practising in the field of neuroscience, preferably in the science of learning. IBRO and IBE–UNESCO will consider researchers from all regions of the world.
Nationality: Researchers from all over the world are eligible to apply for these fellowships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applications will be considered from Senior Scientists and Mid-Career Scientists with at least 10 years of experience.
English language Requirements: Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
How to Apply: Application requirements:
- Eligibility: Senior/Mid-Career Scientists with 10 years of experience in neuroscience,
preferably in the science of learning (no postdocs or recent PhDs)
- Project proposal (1-2 pages)
Please note the proposal should comment on how the project may translate key neuroscience research
on learning and the brain to educators, policymakers and governments.
- Two letters of reference are required.
