HISTORY OF THE GRACE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Grace Scholarship Fund was founded in 2013 to provide academic scholarships, service opportunities and leadership experiences for young Jamaican students of outstanding promise. The fund provides scholarship winners with the financial assistance to help them attend some of the finest colleges & universities both domestically and abroad. Our hope is that recipients will go on to achieve exemplary success in the classrooms and in their chosen fields of expertise and make Jamaica proud.
THE SYDONIE NEYSMITH SCHOLARSHIP FOR TITCHFIELD STUDENTS
Born and raised in Jamaica, Sydonie Neysmith is a strong supporter of Caribbean education – particularly the graduates of her her alma mater, Titchfield high school in Port Antonio. Sydonie has donated this scholarship because she wants to help a young Jamaican child from her hometown. As such, she is awarding this scholarship to students that are graduating or have recently graduated from Titchfield High School. All students that are in financial need and meet the edibility requirements (below) are welcomed to apply for the scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SYDONIE NEYSMITH SCHOLARSHIP FOR TITCHFIELD HIGH GRADUATES
Applicants must meet the following specifications:
- Be a Jamaican national
- Have graduated from Titchfield High or will be graduating from Titchfield High in 2016
- Be currently enrolled at any college or university on the island of Jamaica or plan to be enrolled within the next 9 months
- Be able to provide an academic transcript and proof of enrollment – for Titchfield High and matriculating College/University
- Attend in person scholarship reception
The Sydonie Neysmith may be used for funding related to current enrollment by the student at an accredited college or university. Students may use the scholarship funds to help cover the costs of tuition, fees, books, room and board, computers, health insurance, study abroad and other college related expenses. The amount of the Sydonie Neysmith Scholarship is for $500USD.
Application Deadline – May annually
No exceptions. All eligible applications are due by 11:59pm EST.
