PhD Fellowship Opportunity “Understanding Milling Efficiency in Oats”
Teagasc in Ireland and the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (IBERS), Aberystwyth University are jointly offering 3-year PhD scholarship. Applicants will work on the project titled “Understanding Milling Efficiency In Oats” under the supervision of Catherine Howarth or Ethel White.

Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities.
Applicants whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.
Course Level: Fellowship is available for pursuing PhD progarmme.
Study Subject: Fellowship is awarded to work on the project titled “Understanding Milling Efficiency In Oats”.
Scholarship Award: The 3-year PhD scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees at the UK/EU rate and an annual maintenance grant equivalent to the RCUK rate (£14,553 for 2017/18)
Scholarship can be taken in Ireland and the UK
Eligibility: Applicants should hold, or expect to obtain, a minimum of a first or upper-second class honours (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
Nationality: UK/EU students are eligible to apply.
