The University of Curtin is very pleased to invite applications for the Curtin Mathematics Research Scholarship Program. The scholarship is open to international applicants who will be undertaking research in mathematics fields. Two winners will be selected to receive the award. Applications are accepted any time.
Curtin University has a scholarship opportunity for a PhD student to participate in an ARC Future Fellow Project ” Novel nonlinear functional analysis methods for singular and impulsive boundary value problems “. The project aims to develop innovative functional analysis theories and methods to study various complex nonlinear boundary value problems with particular focus on singular and impulsive problems. The PhD research students are expected to participate in the project with focus on nonlinear analysis and computational methods for some complex initial boundary value problems involved.

Value and Tenure
The successful candidate will receive a stipend of around $25,500 per annum which will be indexed for the duration of the award. This scholarship shall be for three years with a possible maximum extension of up to six months.
The Scholarship is available to Permanent Humanitarian Visa, Australian Permanent Resident, International students, Australian Citizen, New Zealand Citizen.
Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, students must be 1st class honors degree or equivalent level of attainment such as a Master degree.
Expressions of interest are sought from applicants:
- with a background in mathematics or related disciplines;
- who have an interest in nonlinear functional analysis, applied mathematics, differential equations and their applications.
