Purpose

Korea-Japan Joint Government Scholarship Program for Students in Departments of Science and Engineering is a program that
co-organized between Korean and Japanese government. Grant opportunities to study in the National engineering universities
in Japan to cultivate global talents who will lead the future in science and technology through a government-financed exchange
program.

Requirements

    • Period of studying : 5 years

    • Scholarship details
      – Scholarship period: 5 years (Preliminary 1 year, Bachelor 4 years)
      – Budget: 50% paid by each Korean and Japanese Government
      – Scholarship Benefits: preliminary course, tuition, living expenses, airfares, etc. (support 50% each from Korea and Japan)

 

  • Target : Korean citizenship holders under 19 years old who have graduated (or be scheduled to graduate/ the early graduation)
    from a high school or equivalent level to recommended by the principal or superintendent

Selection Procedure

  • Written test : Japanese Government
  • Interview: Conduct jointly between Korean and Japanese Government and select final 100 candidates
