Kings College london: Postgraduate Diploma Nursing Studentships 2017-18
Application for the $6,603.31 studentships is available for Postgraduate Diploma Nursing first year entrants starting in 2017.
The Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery at King’s College London is pleased to announce that five King’s studentships are available for its Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing with registration programme.
The studentships are based on financial circumstances and academic standing, and can be used to fund living expenses during the full length of the programme, for students enrolling in September 2017.
Each studentship is worth $6,603.31 and is paid over the two years of the course.
Successful candidates will receive $3,301.65 in each year of study, dependent upon satisfactory academic and clinical placement progression, and receipt of occupational health and Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance by 4th September 2017. Studentships will not cover periods of repeat or interrupted study.
Am I eligible to apply?(Eligibility)
Applications are invited from students undertaking the 2 year Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) in Nursing, who are able to provide evidence of financial need. In order to be eligible to apply, you must be a new home student for fee purposes, starting in September 2017.
In order to be eligible to apply, you should:
- be a full-time, home student;
- be in good academic standing;
- have a household income of $33,016.55 or less;
- be starting your course in September 2017;
- be in receipt of occupational health and Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance by 4th September.
When will the studentship be paid?
The full studentship is worth $6,603.31 in total. Successful candidates will receive $3,301.65 in each year of study, which will be split into two instalments each.
The first instalment will be released with notification of a successful application, and the second instalment will be released in February 2018, dependent upon continued attendance and satisfactory academic progress.
Studentships will not cover periods of repeat or interrupted study.
How do I apply?
You will need to supply documentary evidence of your financial circumstances with your application as well as a personal statement. If these are not supplied, your application will not be considered.

When will I know the outcome of my application?
Provided your application form has been accurately completed and the appropriate documentary evidence supplied, you will be notified of the decision by 10 September 2017.
