Jacobite Studies Trust Fellowship – An IHR Fellowship
The Institute of Historical Research invites doctoral students to apply the Jacobite Studies Trust Fellowship. Qualified scholars from all over the world are welcome to apply. The successful fellows will do research in the area of Jacobite History. This fellowship offers up to £15,000. Please anticipate the deadline in May 5, 2017.
The IHR administers one one-year Fellowship each year on behalf of the Jacobite Studies Trust. This Fellowship may be held by an advanced doctoral student or early career postdoctoral researcher. Its purpose is to enable the Fellow to undertake historical research into the Stuart dynasty in the British Isles and in exile, from the departure of James II in 1688 to the death of Henry Benedict Stuart in 1807.
The selected applicants may expect to receive up to £15,000.

In the United Kingdom.
Eligibility and Criteria
All applicants are expected to meet the criteria as follow:
- Current doctoral students who have been registered on their programme for at least three years full-time or six years part-time at the beginning of the session in which the awards are to be held.
- Holders of doctorates awarded within two years of the beginning of the session in which the awards are to be held, who are working in the research area of the Trust, as outlined above.
There is no nationality restriction.
