American Semester Program (ASP) Sweden Scholarship at Michigan State University in USA, 2017

The American Semester Program (ASP) is offering scholarships to students pursuing semester-long study at Michigan State University in USA. Students from Sweden are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

The nation’s pioneer land-grant university, MSU is one of the top research universities in the world. Home to nationally ranked and recognized academic, residential college, and service-learning programs, MSU is a diverse community of dedicated students and scholars, athletes and artists, scientists and leaders.

Standardized English Language test results are required unless English is designated as the primary language of instruction.

Course Level: Scholarships are available to pursuing semester-long study through ASP, in efforts to make studying abroad at MSU more attainable and affordable for all interested students.

Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in any of the subjects offered by the university.

Scholarship Award: The university will award four $500 USD scholarships to students.

Number of Scholarships: Four scholarships will be awarded.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:

  • Be a resident of Sweden, or a student studying in Sweden
  • Be accepted to participate in a direct enrollment semester of study at MSU
  • Submit a 500 word essay outlining why you chose to study at MSU and what you hope to receive from the experience.

Nationality: Students from Sweden are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have their previous degree.

English language Requirements: Standardized English Language test results are required unless English is designated as the primary language of instruction. These TOEFL results are an example of accepted test scores:

  • Paper Based TOEFL (PBT) 550, with no sub score below 52
  • Internet Based TOEFL (IBT) 79, with no sub score below 17.

How to Apply: The mode of applying is online.

Scholarship Recipients Are Required To:

  • Submit a written or video testimonial about your experience, including points on academics and culture, prior to departure and program end date
  • Submit up to 10 photos prior to leaving MSU that include the following themes: Spartan Life, Friends, Campus and Academics
  • Be an ambassador for the American Semester Program in your home country
  • Be willing to have your name and photo highlighted on the ASP Alumni webpage
